MEDICAL SCHEME CLAIMS
There is a large array of medical aid schemes in South Africa, and better yet, most medical schemes pay for your post-mastectomy products in full. Medical schemes generally have an external prosthetic benefit or even an oncology benefit, which means that your medical savings account will not be affected by your treatment.
Most medical schemes fully reimburse your post-mastectomy products, but the authorisation will be requested from your medical scheme.
The competent staff at Almost u prosthetics will apply for authorisation from your medical scheme, thus allowing the patient to concentrate on her oncology treatment. Patients will be kept up-to-date via WhatsApp or SMS during the authorisation process.
PRIVATE PATIENTS
It is worth mentioning that AMOENA products are of the best quality in the world. The investment made by private patients will allow a long-term post-mastectomy solution.
Amoena post-mastectomy bras, external breast prostheses and shapers, simply are the better-quality items. With proper use and cleaning, they are expected to give the patient-years of supporting confidence.
STOCK AVAILABILITY
We have stock available at our practices. We pride ourselves on specifically designed fittings rooms, creating a space for private intimate consultations.
Patients are allowed to take their fitted external breast prostheses and post-mastectomy products with them after their first fitting. Patients will not have to wait for their bras and prosthesis from Europe, as stock is available in the rooms.
Consultations are done by appointment to allow for the 1 ½ hour product education and fitting procedures.
